iPad 2 & 3 shells compared

The iPad 3 appears to have a more tapered design than the iPad 2, which would make the device feel thinner than it really is.
There is a noticeable difference between the lenses on the iPad 2 and 3, leaving speculation towards the Sony 8MP camera found in the iPhone 4S.
Putting a very popular rumor to rest, there are still buttons on the iPad 3.
M.I.C Gadget has its hands on an iPad 3 shell, and has taken some great comparison images to show the differences between the current iPad and the next.  From the image, the iPad 3 appears to have a slightly thicker shell.  This could be due to the reported Retina Display coming to the iPad.  Interestingly, it also appears to have a much more tapered design, making it feel thinner than it really is. The bezel is slightly narrower too, but is hard to measure by the given images.

The comparison also shows a very clear difference in camera lens sizes, leading us to believe that we’ll be finding the same 8MP sensor found in the iPhone 4S.  M.I.C also believes that we could see an “iPad Mini” and another capacity added to the line, at a whopping 128 GB, but seems highly unlikely.
