Apps avaliable for rent?
Well, during the eve of the “Let’s Talk iPhone”, rumors are still brewing. With iOS 5 on the brink of it’s public release, there might be one interesting surprise with the update.
According to AppAdvice, there are new lines of code in iTunes 10.5 Beta 9 indicating App rental availability in the coming public update, meaning that you can (finally) test apps before paying full price, without annoying ads in your way.
Personally, I’ve been waiting for this feature for quite some time. iTunes already lets you rent Movies and TV Shows, but developers had to make separate apps for “free” editions of their app. There have been far too many apps that I’ve downloaded, and instantly regretted doing so. I’ve often found myself saying
I could’ve gotten a cheeseburger…
Hopefully, this feature will be released in the “Let’s Talk iPhone” keynote tomorrow.
